Hey guys, Avalon here. If youve been checking my GitHub, (its up in the other things menu in the nav bar), youve probably seen a lot of activity on it recently. Theres a pretty good reason for this. All of my skins and remodels now have HD textures. Ultimately this may mean very little to you, and thats ok, but it was a needed step in bringing my remodels up to proper standards. Additionally several of the remodels sport new vehicle registration numbers: 'Fireball' is 07BA26 (a real Centurion Mk. 3) 'Dragon' is 00SP36 (this is the real VRN of the 105mm L7 armed Charioteer) 'Viper' is 07BA67 (this is the Conway that currently resides at Bovington Tank Museum). 'Thunderbolt' and 'Dreadnought' retain their original VRNs. In addition, as I said in my previous post, Dreadnought has been updated to support the 9.21 Paint system: Yes... that is a Yellow, Blue and Green Centurion Action X. The eagle eyed of you may notice that there are some portions of the hull that arent covered in paint. The reason for this is that the vehicles that those parts came from dont support the system themselves, so they cant be supported by me either. As they are updated, and remodels using parts like that (and lets face it a great many of mine do) will be updated. If you notices any issues with the textures after this update please let me know and I'll see what I can do about fixing it. As for further updates, Ive put the Type 59 'Legend' on hold. I was unhappy with how it was turning out, and dont really have good ideas for it right now. This means that the on deck remodel is now the FV221 Caernarvon Mk. 2 'Bullpup'. With luck (and me not being lazy), this one may be out for Christmas. After that I have plans for a special Conqueror remodel as well as a Historical Restoration, for those of you who would rather their Conqueror look like the real thing. After that, I may revisit the 'Legend' or move on to the FV4005 or Chieftain Mk. 6 (which will likely come with an option to replace the CAX with, just so it can be used and enjoyed). In the off chance I dont get 'Bullpup' out before Christmas, I'll just leave you with this very festive Centurion Mk. 3: Merry Christmas guys!

So its the eve of 9.21. A new customization system looms on the horizon. Im here to tell you just what the effect it will have on my skins and remodels.
At the beginning, I will not be supporting the new paint system that the system brings. This means none of my remodels will get to be coloured pink or blue or whatever other colour you want. Camouflage will still continue to work, as it has before (with the exception of any chassis camo which cease to function due to how the new customization system functions), but any of the additional paint colours wont work until I go through and update EVERY model. With that being said, my remodels need updating anyway. They all use SD textures still (mostly as a result of my modeling workflow). So as I go through and update them with HD textures I'll also update them to support the new paint system, which will let you pain your tanks whatever colours the game lets you. The time line for this update process is not fixed and will happen as I decide to do it, so please dont ask for an ETA because the answer will be "When its done". Permaskin removals are unaffected by this new system as you still arent able to customize those tanks. As new permaskinned tanks are released, I'll continue to release skin removals for them. My other Misc. Skins should also be unaffected, as they dont change actual models. (The exceptions are the ISU-152-2 and the M48A1 Restoration as the models dont have the necessary files to support to new system, the Historical Caernarvon Restoration, which will be updated as part of the other process and the 3 Chinese server tanks.). Other than that, I have a Type 59 remodel in the work, to bring its visual model up to part with botht he T-34-3 and WZ-120 HD models as te Type is an older model with less interesting stuff on it. After that I maybe do a Caernarvon remodel (which will incorporate my Historical restoration) and then after that I dunno. Thats all for now guys. Take care and see you on the battlefield. ~ Avalon304 Dreadnought now has an addon available for it. It adds the spaced armor from the upcoming British tier 8 premium, the Caernarvon Action X. Additionally Dreadnought now has a canvas covering for where the mantlet would be. This canvas covering is standard on the normal remodel as well.
Thats all for now! ~ Avalon304 Well, the 9.21 test server is up and it brought with it the Caernarvon Action X. Which means a new addon for Dreadnought will be coming shortly: You know... just in case you thought Dreadnought needed more armor. (NOTE: It doesnt actually give you more armor). She'll also gain a canvas mantlet cover and the normal turret will also gain some additional greebles as a bonus too. It'll be coming up shortly (probably by Monday at the latest).
While that is close I have a few more things that are further off, including a remodel for the FV4004 Conway. Shes named Viper, due to her ability for quick and deadly strikes with her deadly 120mm gun. Theres also a reskin that I'll be doing to give the Conqueror its historic turret and proper 120mm gun, rather the the range target turret and different 120mm gun it has now. Further out than even those two things is my remodel for the Chieftain Mk. 6. It'll have to come some time... so I may as well get one started. She's named 'Iron Fist', which is appropriate for one of the strongest MBTs in the world (at least at her time of introduction). After those, I dont really have anything much planned. Guess I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Take care guys, and I'll see you on the battlefield. ~ Avalon304 Hey guys!
Ive just completed a switch over to GitHub to manage all of my skins and remodels. Hopefully, this change should be unnoticeable... but theres always a chance I missed a download link some where. If you encounter one of these just let me know and I'll fix it. Theres also a link to my GitHub up in the 'Other Things' menu where you can see all the repositories and check when they were last updated. I'll also do my best to summarize changes within each repository so you can check exactly what was updated at that time. Thats really all for today. Take care and see you on the battlefield, ~Avalon304 |
