Hey guys! I have some more updates for you. 1 new remodel, 1 repurposed remodel and more skins moved to the wotmod format. First up is the Tiger I 'Jager'. Jager started as a simple model to restore the fenders and lower glacis tracks on the Tiger I. Then I added the bicycle from the VK 168.01. Then I added the smoke launchers from Tiger 131. I also removed the barbed wire from the log, because it looked super ugly. Its pretty simple, but I think it makes the Tiger look much nicer. If WG gives other german tanks more things that I can steal and add to it, I probably will... You can find the Jager on WGMods nowm, you can get there via this tanks page in the Remodels menu above. The next thing up is also pretty simple. Its a repurposing of the Rebored M32 gun from the leKpz M 41 90mm GF permaskin removal. Just changes the muzzlebrake on the normal leKpz M 41 90mm from the default one to the more american looking T-shaped muzzlebrake. No more, no less (for now). Yes... that means I may give this tank a remodel... no I dont know what that entails yet... its just a possibility. The new gun is available on WGMods now and a link directly to it can be found in this tanks page in the Remodels menu above.
The final updates for today are that Ive moved the first 3 permaskin removals over to the .wotmod format. This means the M46 Patton KR, Panzer 58 Mutz and Skorpion G are now on WGMods and each of their existing page here on the blog have been updated with links directly to their page on WGMods. Thats it for now. Upcoming is still the Firefly remodel that Ive talked about as well as a remodel for the Obj. 277, potentially. Im not too happy with it currently, so I may scrap it and start from scratch... I dont know. The next skins to make the move over to .wotmod files will be atleast 2 of the 3 leKpz M 41 90mm GF removals (I may retire the Olive Drab version of the skin removal), the Berlin Quartet removals, the IS-7 with raised machine gun and the T26E1-1 Super Pershing remodels. Thats all for now! Take care and see you on the battlefield! ~ Avalon304

Well update 1.0.2 released yesterday. Then update 1.0.2.1 released early this morning.
Last time I made a post here I asked if I should switch over to the .wotmod format. The responses that I got were overwhelmingly positive. So I will be transitioning all of my mods over to .wotmod files over time. For now I've started with the 14 named remodels, as they are the biggest and most complicated mods that I have. As time goes on I'll transition my permaskin removals and miscellaneous skins to .wotmods as well, where appropriate. During this transitional period some skins may go away, as I retire them. However, this means I'll be transitioning away from my GitHub as well, as most of my mods end up being over 100mb and GitHub cannot take files over 100mb in size. Which is a shame, as GitHub makes things so easy. The remedy for this is WGMods.net. The first 14 named remodels are now available on that site. For your conveinence this is my page on WGMods: Avalon304 on WGMods.net I'm not a huge fan of the site, as uploading and updating mods is a bit clunky, but it takes files over 100mb and lets me track download numbers and receive comments directly on the mod itself. It also lets you rate the mods as well... if thats your thing. Rate them or dont, its entirely up to you. You can also follow mods to be notified of updates, though I'll always post here about important updates to mods as well. Additionally the mod pages here on this blog will contain links to the WGMods page of the skin or remodel. Speaking of updates, big changes happened in 1.0.2 regarding the customization system. Specifically it now extending to all non-premium tier 8 vehicles and all tier 6 vehicles. As such Ive updated the following remodels with support for cosmetic paints and preset styles:
'Stalin's Hammer' had support for the system prior to update 1.0.2's release, so it received no updates. Thats about it for now guys. If you need to update any of the remodels head on over to WGMods to get them. Look forward to more remodels soon. See you on the battlefield! ~ Avalon304 |
